Four days free ride on Port Harcourt – Aba Rail Line

The Federal Government has announced free passenger train ride for four days on the newly rehabilitated Port Harcourt to Aba railway line.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Mr. Oloruntola Oluremi, said the free train ride would be from the 1-4 May.

“There will be free train ride between Port-Harcourt and Aba on the  Wednesday 1st, Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of May 2024.

“The train will be departing Port-Harcourt everyday by 8am for Aba. It will also be departing Aba every day for Port -Harcourt by 3pm. Full commercial operations resume on Tuesday 7th May 2024,” the statement reads
