Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara Honored with Chieftaincy Title ‘Omoluabi of Kosofe Land’

Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, a distinguished member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, has been conferred with the esteemed chieftaincy title of ‘Omoluabi of Kosofe Land’ by Oba Akanmu Oloyede, the Onikosi of Ikosi Land.

The installation ceremony, held with great pomp and splendor, drew dignitaries from various walks of life who gathered to celebrate Alhaja Kafilat’s new honor. The event was a testament to her significant contributions to the community and her tireless philanthropic efforts.

Oba Akanmu Kehinde, the Onikosi of Ikosi Land, led the ceremony, extolling Alhaja Kafilat’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes and the development of the Ikosi community. In his address, Oba Akanmu highlighted her numerous charitable activities and her role in advancing the welfare of her constituents. “Alhaja Kafilat has shown an exemplary spirit of generosity and community service, which aligns with the virtues of ‘Omoluabi’ – a person of integrity and noble character,” he remarked.

As part of the ceremony, the Onikosi invoked blessings upon Alhaja Kafilat, urging her to continue her benevolent work and to remain steadfast in her commitment to uplifting the less fortunate. His words resonated with the audience, many of whom have witnessed firsthand the positive impact of Alhaja Kafilat’s initiatives.

In her acceptance speech, Alhaja Kafilat expressed deep gratitude to the Onikosi, the chiefs, and all attendees for their support and recognition. She pledged to intensify her efforts in serving humanity and fostering community development. “This title is not just an honor, but a call to greater service. I am inspired by the faith that Oba Akanmu and the community have placed in me, and I promise to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of Kosofe and its people,” she declared.

The ceremony concluded with a festive celebration, as attendees congratulated Alhaja Kafilat on her well-deserved title. Her new role as the ‘Omoluabi of Kosofe Land’ marks a significant milestone in her career, highlighting her as a beacon of hope and a role model for community service.
