Sanwoolu Hosts New Lagos Assembly Speaker

Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu today hosted the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda, alongside her team of Principal Officers, at the Lagos House in Ikeja. The visit underscored the robust synergy between the Executive and Legislative arms of government in Lagos State.

During the meeting, the Speaker and her team reaffirmed their dedication to sustaining a harmonious working relationship with the Executive arm. The discussion emphasized the shared commitment to fostering collaboration that guarantees the successful implementation of policies aimed at enhancing governance and delivering impactful projects across the state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in his remarks, lauded the unity between both arms of government, noting that the partnership remains a cornerstone of the state’s developmental strides. “This alignment between the Executive and Legislative arms ensures that Lagos remains a model of excellence in governance. Together, we will continue to implement policies and projects that deliver on our Greater Lagos vision,” the Governor stated.

The Governor also commended the Speaker and her team for their steadfast support and proactive legislative approach, which he described as critical to the smooth execution of initiatives that drive transformational progress across all sectors.

In her response, Rt. Hon. Meranda reaffirmed the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to supporting the administration’s agenda, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a united front in achieving the collective aspirations of Lagos residents.

The meeting highlighted the shared resolve to build on the successes of past administrations, further cementing Lagos State’s reputation as a trailblazer in governance and development.
