The former State Legal Adviser Political Parties Ondo State Prophet Oguntuase Foluso Joshua has slammed knocks on the constitutional wrongs perpetrated by the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Buhari, and Governor of Yobe State Maimala Buni.
Oguntuase said this while reacting to publications credited to President Buhari that he approved the review of the Timetable for APC Congresses after Buni-Led Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) presented Progress Report to President Buhari.
Oguntuase F.J said:
*. President Buhari has no power under APC Constitution to grant approval to any functions of the NEC, NWC or any Committee.
*. President Buhari is a member of the NEC but not a member of the NWC and he has no power to approve the decisions of either.
*. In the eyes of the Constitution of APC, the nomenclatures of the following are entirely different in names, nature and functions:
(a). National Chairman.
(b). National Caretaker Committee Chairman.
(c). Chairman Caretaker/ Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).
*. It would have been noble not to extend the tenure of Governor of Yobe State Maimala Buni as Chairman (CECPC) moreso when his allegations of Constitutional breaches are still in Court.
The actions of APC in this regard is seen as taking the nation for granted as the entire Articles 11, 12, 13 and 14 APC Constitution are very clear about the issues.
