In a strategic meeting held earlier yesterday, Hon. Bisi Yusuf engaged members of the Conference57 Chief Press Secretaries (CPS), who serve as the official media aides to the 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Area Chairmen in Lagos State. The gathering underscored the growing importance of grassroots communication in national development.
The purpose of the meeting was to foster a stronger partnership aimed at amplifying the achievements and ongoing programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, especially within communities where the impact of governance is most directly experienced. Emphasis was placed on visibility and messaging that reflect the Renewed Hope agenda.
While addressing the CPS, Hon. Yusuf commended their dedication and highlighted their pivotal role in bridging the gap between government and the people. He urged them to take ownership of local narratives, ensuring that progress is well-documented and effectively communicated to the grassroots population.
“You are the voice of your councils and a critical link in the democratic chain. Project the accomplishments of Mr. President with clarity and consistency. Let the people see and feel the changes happening in their everyday lives,” Hon. Yusuf said passionately during the session.
On behalf of the group, Chairman of Conference57 CPS, Mr. Kamaldeen Iyanda Abdulsalam of Ifelodun LCDA, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to the vision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Tinubu. He described the President as a transformational leader whose policies continue to shape the future of Nigeria.
Mr. Abdulsalam emphasized that Conference57 CPS will continue to champion the administration’s cause by deploying strategic media content, community engagement, and coordinated communication. He added that their collective expertise as communication professionals will be directed toward sustaining public support.
The Conference57 CPS members pledged unwavering loyalty and media support to the Tinubu administration. Their resolve stands firm in promoting President Tinubu’s legacy and reelection bid, reinforcing Lagos as the epicenter of grassroots political mobilization and strategic communication in Nigeria.
