Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church has used this year’s national youth camp to expose no fewer than 350 youths to the advantages inherent in farming.

With this, the church said the youths have been trained to know that “there is money in farming outside Yahoo Yahoo.”

According to Commandant, C&S Movement Church National Youth Camp Pastor Douglas Adekanye who spoke with journalists on the sidelines of this year’s event, the theme of the event this year is ‘Practically experiencing absolute liberation.’

Pastor Adekanye said that the purpose of the 40 years old youth convention is to build the youth for Christ.

“The Bible says train your child in the way he should go and when he grows up, he will not depart from it. An idle hand is the devil’s workshop.

“We are using the opportunity to expose young members of the church to farming. So that they could know that there is money in farming outside Yahoo Yahoo.

We related with the youths in such a way for them to know that they can make legal prosperity without going into vices. And they if they have something doing they will not have enough time to go into evil.

“At the end of the programme, we expect every zone, district and branch of the church to build on what we have done to help the youth live a better life,” he stressed.

Aligning with the camp commandant, International President of the youth fellowship Oresanya Williams, an architect, said that the “spirit behind the event is to bring the youths together and tutor them on the words of God.

“A child who is scripturally grounded in the word of God will not engage in social vices. We are also training the youths on skills acquisition to make them self-reliant and self-sustaining.”
