Adeleke got sacked as Osun Gov.

The Osun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Osogbo has sacked Ademola Adeleke as the elected governor of Osun state and declare Adegboyega Oyetola as the winner of the same Osun governorship election.

The Peoples Democratic Party candidate Governor Ademola Adeleke was sacked with the judgment that was delivered on Friday 27th of January 2023 at the premises of the High Court in Osogbo. Reading the majority judgement, The Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Tertsea Kume said Oyetola scored the majority lawful votes of 314,931 against Adeleke’s 290,266.

Reacting to this judgement Ademola Adeleke used is official Twitter account to speak, vowing to Appeal on this case, he wrote “i want to use this opportunity to call on our people to remain calm. We will appeal the judgement and we are sure justice will be done. Let everyone be reassured that we will do everything possible to retain this widely acclaimed mandate. God bless Osun!”
