The Afemai Youth Council, World Wide, has sent its congratulations to Hon. Peter Akpatason whom the Supreme Court has upheld as the House of Representative Member to represent Akoko Edo Federal Constituency.

The congratulatory message was given by Comrade Akele Monday, the Acting President for the body. The full body of the letter reads thus:

“On behalf of the Executive and Members of Afemai Youth Council, World Wide, we will like to express our heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Peter Akpatason, Member, Representing Akoko Edo Federal Constituency on his remarkable victory at the Supreme Court.”

“Your victory reinforces our faith that: if you believe in yourself and in a course, and have dedication, and never quit, you will be a winner.”

“It is a precedent that will guide all future political office holders because it represents your dogged-determination and passion to serve your people.”

“You dared mighty forces, to win this glorious triumph for your people despite being checkered by failure both at the Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.”

“The temptation to take the easy route was always there. But discipline and resilience to serve your people were paramount to you.”

“You knew it was impossible to win this for your people unless you venture to challenge the power mongers, using legitimate and acceptable means.”

“The forces that worked tirelessly to block the powerful march and resolved of our people, who are holding high the banner of the suns for a great Comrade, have been completely trounced.”

“Today, Akoko Edo Federal Constituency has a credible hope, a bridge builder and an excellent Representative that will continue to work for all.”

“Going forward, we admonish you to mobilize every true son and daughter of Akoko Edo, call for a reconciliatory meeting; and get all hands on deck in other to open new frontiers of inclusive representation.”

“Your victory is for all – – devoid of camps, tribes, ideologies, and political party affiliations.”

“We sincerely congratulate you and send our best wishes for your every success; whilst praying for God’s divine wisdom upon you as you discharge your all-important legislative duties and responsibilities.”
