Following the Tuesday incident when members of the Shi’ites clashed with the police on the grounds of the National Assembly leading to an alleged killing of two policemen, the group has again clashed with the police at the Federal Secretariat Abuja.

The group took their protest to the Federal Secretariat but were dispersed when the police fired gunshots and tear gas canisters to dislodge them.

The police also arrested some members of the group.

The Shi’ites are an Islamic movement who are protesting against the continued detention of their leader, Ibrahim Yaqoub El Zakzaky by the Buhari government.
