In a significant move aimed at improving community safety, the Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), under the leadership of Chairman Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has officially commissioned the Obokun Police Post. The new facility, inaugurated by Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Fayoade Adegoke is designed to bolster law enforcement efforts, deter criminal activity and provide vital support to residents.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku emphasized the critical role the police post will play in promoting security across the LCDA. He urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to foster a safer and more secure environment. Odunmbaku also highlighted his administration’s continued dedication to improving security, citing the donation of patrol vehicles and the recent renovation of the Williams Police Post at Okeira as part of a broader strategy to strengthen law enforcement infrastructure in the area.
AIG Fayoade Adegoke lauded the Chairman’s proactive stance on security, referring to Hon. Odunmbaku as the “People’s Chairman” for his unwavering commitment to public safety. Similarly, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ojodu Police Station, CSP Elizabeth Opadola, praised the initiative, noting that the Obokun Police Post will contribute to greater economic and social stability in the community. She underscored the importance of the project as a key element of Ojodu LCDA’s ongoing efforts to ensure peace and security for all residents.
