The Niger Delta Volunteers (NDV), a militant group from the Niger-Delta has issued a stern warning to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) not to come anywhere near Akwa-Ibom.
According to the General Ekpo Ekpo, the leader of the NDV, Akwa-Ibom is an area strictly within the Niger-Delta and has no part in Biafra.
The warning is coming on the heels of Nnmadi Kanu’s plan to visit some states within Nigeria.
The leader of the NDV while speaking with newsmen in Uyo further relayed a message to Oil Companies.
He said “We hereby demand immediate relocation of all oil companies operating in Niger Delta to the region on or before October 1, 2017, as we shall ensure the shutting down of further operations in our territory at the expiration of this notice if they fail to act on our directive.
“All oil blocks owned by non- indigenes of Niger Delta should be returned before October 1, or the operators of such oil blocks will be severely dealt with.”
