Your Excellency,
Mr. President,

I address this letter as a concerned citizen, focused on the principles of good governance and national stability.

The political situation in Rivers State, particularly the impeachment proceedings initiated against Governor Siminalayi Fubara, is causing significant unrest. This situation is creating uncertainty and tension among the populace.

Mr. President, Rivers State deserves a stable environment for governance. The current instability, fueled by ongoing power struggles, undermines the democratic process.

This situation does not reflect the values of democracy.

Governor Fubara was elected by the people. The repeated attempts to destabilize his administration are detrimental to the state’s progress.

I have followed your reform agenda closely since you assumed office. This is a defining moment. Nigerians are watching, and the youth are watching.

We, the youth, advocate for the protection of democratic principles. We oppose political intimidation and the undermining of the people’s mandate. Rivers State needs peace.

Your Excellency, your legacy will be defined by your commitment to upholding democratic values. This is an opportunity to demonstrate that elected officials are protected and that no individual is above the system.

I urge you to intervene to restore calm and protect democracy in Rivers State.

May you be granted wisdom and discernment in your leadership.

Respectfully,

Hon- (Dr.) Tofunmi Ogunronbi
A voice of the emerging youth generation
