The APC CDC under the able leadership of Prof Adesegun Labinjo wish to join the Director of Diaspora Affairs of the APC PCC, Prince Ade Omole in condemning the uncharitable behaviour of those who thought they could use branded wine to cause public embarrassment to our party. We also wish to categorically dissociate our CDC from this most juvenile behaviour. It is incomprehensible that anyone or group would pull a stunt of this magnitude at a time when the citizens could not access their own money at the banks. Even, in a normal everyday life, the idea of branded alcoholic drink in the name of our party is an assault on the sensibilities of citizens, and we find it condemnable.
Campaigning to lead a great country like ours is not a joke or child’s play, it is a serious business. That is why our leader and Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been working tirelessly, crisscrossing the length and breadth of our nation planting, and selling his progressive ideas to millions of citizens. The Diaspora Directorate is solidly behind the ideals and vision of our principal candidate and our great party and that support is binding on us at the Committee of Diaspora Chairmen. The victory of our presidential candidate remains our singular most important focus.
During our chat with the group, Engr. Bola Babarinde the General Secretary said that “if Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima are voted in as President and Vice President respectively, this current suffering of Nigerians being celebrated by the saboteurs pretending to be our members will never be witnessed again in Nigeria.”
That’s why we are appealing to all Nigerians that APC as a party is very sensitive to their feelings and wellbeing and therefore would not engage in any political gimmick or silliness such as the one portrayed in the wine video. The elections are just a few days away now and we want to enjoin every voting Nigerian to go to the polls and vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the only candidate who will transform our country through his vision, capacity, experience, and collaboration.
