It was glamour and glitz as accolades showered on APC South Africa Diaspora Chapter Chieftain Honorable BANJOKO OLUSOJI IYANU, The chairman of Asurj Global Trading , Asurj Energy (Nig) Ltd and Asurj Investment (Pty) Ltd who was honoured as a UNIPGC ICON OF PEACE at an award ceremony in Marakech, Morocco where he was also awarded as a United Nations International Peace and Governance Council Ambassador For Peace And Security.
The event which was held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Marakesh. Morocco on the 1st – 4th of August 2023 had dignatries from the globe in attendance with awardees who were majorly of African descent nominated across the continent.
Ambassador Banjoko Olusoji Iyanu was selected for the ICON OF PEACE award and honoured as Ambassador For Peace And Security because of his immense humanitarian and charity contributions within Africa and the global society at large.
His notable contributions between the governmental and corporate business space across Africa and the globe while his impressive, enviable and incorruptible landmarks of achievements under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals on the continent of Africa.
He was also recognized for his outstanding performance towards human capacity development and sustainable growth in Africa and also adding values to humanity through upholding the virtues and dignity of human life and peaceful co-existence.
As a UNIPGC Icon Of Peace and Ambassador For Peace And Security, Ambassador Banjoko Olusoji Iyanu would engage in Peace Missions, partake as an election observer and participate in Conflict Resolution Dialogues within the global terrain and primary interest within the African Continent.
His mandate as a member of the committe on sustainable peace building also includes organizing and attending sustainable peace building events globally, similar activities within the society and expected to be a distinguished leader per excellence as an icon of peaceful co-existence globally.
