APC UK Interim Committee Members Distance Themselves From Alleged “Spring General Meeting”
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

The APC UK Interim Committee wishes to inform the general public, especially progressive members in the United Kingdom, that the fake “APC UK Spring General Meeting” purportedly scheduled for April 13, 2024, has not been approved by our committee. This meeting has been publicised by an illegal entity calling itself the “APC UK Media Team.”

On January 13, 2024, the APC UK Interim Committee was established to consolidate various factions within APC UK. The committee is currently chaired by Tunde Doherty and J. K. Adebola as the Secretary. It is important to note that the responsibility of convening all meetings, including general meetings, solely rests with the Secretary of the Interim Committee.

The Interim Committee comprises ONLY two executive roles—Chairman and Secretary—and does not include a Media Council or any such body, nor does it recognise any list of “delegates”. As such, any meeting notice not explicitly issued by the Secretary of the APC UK Interim Committee is unauthorised, rendering the proposed “Spring General Meeting” invalid.

We urge all compliant and law-abiding members of the APC UK to disregard this unofficial meeting. We recognise the significance of caucuses within our political organisation and hope that any such gatherings are conducted appropriately under the established protocols of APC UK.

-J. K. Adebola, MNIM, MCICN, Secretary Of The APC UK Interim Committee.
