CAMPAIGN ON SAFETY IN NIGERIA TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM

TRANSSAFE 360 DEGREE GLOBAL INITIATIVE (T360), an NGO, is a proactive initiative aimed at providing broad range transport information, research and advocacy in line with her goals and vision is set to launch a series of media awareness and campaigns which would sensitize and reorientate Nigerians about the values of safe and secure transportation.

The first of these series of campaign will flag off on Tuesday 20th of July 2021 with the Theme :‘MAKING NIGERIAN TRANSPORTATION SAFE AGAIN ‘.

This campaign is set to run for seven weeks and the messages will be projected on the T360 Social Media Platforms and promoted to reach a wide audience.

A member of the board of Trustee at T360, Mr. Tella Adeayo Stephen – Safety Engineer and Automobile Instructor who employs his expertise in Spain says, “With this campaign, we are committed to our mission of serving and leading a large diverse membership through information sharing and advocacy.
We are working to ensure that information on global best appropriate practices in public transportation is available to the commuting public, transport operators, government agencies, researchers and contractors in transport related project across the world”.

The purpose of this campaign is not just to raise awareness among the theming populace but also to raise a large community of transport safety enthusiast who are willing to join and lend a voice to this movement by joining the online community where fresh ideas and contributions are solicited to advance the cause.

Another board of Trustee member, Mr. Anifowose Rotimi – Deputy Director, Special Duties, Nigeria Shippers Council, says, “these series of campaign will sure enable T360 (whose membership are drawn from different people in the world in both public and private organisations that are engaged in operations relating to core transportation or cognate activities, government agencies, contractors, academic institutions, consultancies), to meet up with its vision. This vision is, ‘providing broad range
transport information, research and advocacy via security and safety of lives and properties to assist government, private organisations, researchers, and individuals in making accurate policies and
operational decisions’.”
