CBN appeals to Nigerians on the circulation of new naira notes.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has appealed to Nigerians to endure, adding that the redesigned notes will circulate and be accessible to everyone.

Central Bank of Nigeria has also pledged to stop P Ó S unreasonable charges as February 10 is still the official deadline for swapping of old naira notes with new ones. The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, made this appeal at a special media briefing in Lagos.

He expressed that he is also seeing the protests and arguments surrounding the difficulty citizens are facing in accessing the new notes. The Governor passed various messages and concluded by stating that they had ordered banks to load their Automated Teller Machines (ATM) with the new notes to ensure Nigerians access them.
