The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released an emergency telephone numbers to the public in order to officially report any POS agent selling new naira notes and those charging unreasonable for withdrawal transactions.
The Director, CBN Governor’s Department, Mr Joseph Omayuku, stated this during a brief interaction with journalists in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. He also warned syndicates engaging in illegal practices to desist from it.
In the same vein, Mr Joseph advised members of the public to report any POS agent by reaching out to the CBN contact centre on 07002255226 and its social media handles.
