As the spirit of the festive season fills the air, the Conference57 Chief Press Secretaries of Lagos State have conveyed heartfelt Christmas greetings to His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairmen; and the good people of Lagos State.
The body, under the leadership of Hon. Kamaldeen Iyanda Abdulsalam, took the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable strides made in governance and development across Lagos State. The press secretaries lauded the outstanding leadership of Governor Sanwo-Olu, whose administration has continued to deliver transformative projects and policies that significantly impact the lives of Lagosians.
In their message signed by the State Chairman Kamaldeen Abdulsalam and it’s General Secretary Sanyaolu Tunmise, the body of pen pushers expressed deep appreciation for the exemplary leadership of Hon. Kolade Alabi, Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON). They noted that under his stewardship, the council chairmen have demonstrated unwavering commitment to grassroots governance, complementing the state government’s efforts to foster progress and development.
“Christmas is a time of joy, unity, and reflection,” the statement read. “We recognize the resilience, dedication, and contributions of Lagosians, whose support has been instrumental in making our state a thriving hub of innovation and opportunities.”
The Conference57 Chief Press Secretaries also highlighted the role of council chairmen in driving local development through collaboration with the state government. This synergy, they said, has cemented Lagos’ position as a model of good governance in Nigeria.
“As we celebrate this season, it’s an opportunity to reaffirm our shared vision for a greater Lagos,” they added. “We remain committed to fostering transparent and effective communication between the government and the people, ensuring that everyone stays informed and engaged in the governance process.”
The press secretaries encouraged Lagosians to embrace the values of the season—compassion, generosity, and unity—while reflecting on the collective progress made in 2024. They also urged residents to renew their commitment to building a brighter and more prosperous future for the state.
As the year winds to a close, the Conference57 Chief Press Secretaries reiterated their dedication to amplifying the voices of the government at all levels, ensuring that the efforts and achievements of leadership continue to resonate with the people.
“May this Christmas bring joy and fulfillment to every home in Lagos State. Together, let us keep the spirit of progress alive as we look forward to a new year filled with greater possibilities,” they concluded.
