Reports indicate that Senator Dino Melaye narrowly escaped a mob action during the recent day Kabba Day celebrations held in Kogi.
The senator representing Kogi West was reportedly pelted with dangerous objects by a mob when trying to make his exit from the township stadium.
Dino Melaye had previously made his speech and announced a donation of N3 million for the occasion, however as he made his way to his car, some members of the crowd waylaid him and started pelting him with various objects.
It took the intervention of the security personnel on ground to bring the situation under control thus preventing the senator from grievous injury.
According to reports, the incident made the State Governor, Yahaya Bello who had also been expected at the event to boycott the Kabba Day Celebration.
