Immediate Past Senior Special Assistant To The Governor Of Lagos State On Transportation, Honourable Toyin Aremu was the cynosure of all eyes and the recipient of accolades as he was lauded at a prestigious ceremony where he was honoured with the Southwest Advancement Award.
The Investiture ceremony which held at The Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos on 17th, June 2023 had people from all walks of life and segments of society gathered to celebrate and venerate accomplished individuals in diverse spheres of endeavour who have excelled and exemplified success in positions that contributed immensely to the advancement of society in the Southwest geopolitical zone of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.
Honourable Toyin Aremu was selected for the award amongst notable personalities because of his efforts and exploits in contributing to actualisation of the THEMES AGENDA of the Babajide Sanwoolu administration through quality stewardship of his office as Senior Special Assistant To The Governor on Transportation and how he exceptionally displayed innovative leadership management on discharging his duties through quality service delivery that contributed to seamless transportation systems for Lagos.
As immediate past Senior Special Assistant To The Governor on Transportation, Toyin Aremu has written articles on policymaking regarding the sector especially about the transportation development model of Lagos and it’s importance to the State’s Masterplan while also driving innovative solutions through thinktank groups on improving systems for intermodal transportation network for Lagos State.
Being one of the youngest and most competent political appointees amongst the six states of Southwest Nigeria, the technocrat impressed so many with his hands on approach and dynamic technique that ushered a refreshing innovative method to governance which improved conduct of officials and efficiency of the organization ( Lagos State Traffic Management Authority) within his oversight.
Honourable Toyin Aremu in his speech after receiving the award thanked God almighty for using Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu to appoint him into office while also appreciating his family, friends and associates for the support over time before finally commending the organisers for rewarding excellence which he tagged as a call for more quality service.
The event was attended by the high and mighty as outstanding personalities were also awarded in different categories reflecting the diverse range of the awardees as public figures, traditional leaders and influential politicians were honoured as well, Former Minister for Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, Her Royal Majesty,Olori Tobi Phillips Ogunwusi, Sports Veteran,Mutiu Adepoju and Nollywood Actor Saidi Balogun carted home awards.
