The federal government has issued a formal apology to Nigerians, acknowledging the economic challenges resulting from the reforms initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
In a Ministerial Sectoral Update held yesterday in Abuja, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, expressed regret over the financial difficulties citizens are experiencing. Despite the apology, Bagudu firmly defended the administration’s policies.
He recognized that the current foreign exchange rates and inflation levels remain higher than desired, exacerbating the economic strain on the populace.
“I apologize for the pains that these policies may occasion, but they are necessary,” stated the minister, underscoring the administration’s commitment to its reform agenda.
