Following Nigeria’s recent qualification for 2018 World Cup in Russia, the nation’s Super Eagles has now been ranked number 41 in the world by Fifa.
This represents a movement of three places up from the position of 44th previously occupied by the Super Eagles.
However, despite moving three places up, the Super Eagles team is still ranked as the fifth best team in Africa, with the Tunisian football team now being ranked as number one in Africa and number 28 in the world
The second spot in Africa is occupied Egypt which is also ranked as the 30th best team in the world while the third spot in Africa is occupied by Senegal who are also ranked as the 32nd best team in the world.
DR Congo comes in as the number 4 team in Africa and also ranks as the 35th best team in the world.
