Nigerian artistes Fireboy, Ckay, Wizkid, Tems and Burna Boy have been nominated for this year’s American Music Awards billed for November 12 at the Microsoft Theater, California.
Essence singer Tems also got another nomination in the collaboration of the year category for her collaborative work with Future and Drake.
Fans have however tipped Burna Boy to clinch the award as others asked why Davido is missing in the list.
“Aje, Burna Boy don win am. Odogwu is not a nickname,” a fan tweeted.
“Burna go win am no doubt,” another twitter user opined.
Fireboy is the only new generation artistes to make the nominees list.
