As a result of their failure to appear before it on a summons on an explanation for missing revenue, the Senate has ordered for the arrest of the CEO of Globacom along with 29 other CEOs.

The Senate Joint Committee on Customs, Excise and Tarrif and Marine Transport,  said the CEOs of the companies had a case to answer on their complicity in the N30tn revenue loss in the import and export value chain in Nigeria.

In total 63 firms were asked to appear before the Senate on the issue but only 33 of the firms heeded the Senates call and made themselves present.

Hence, for their non-cooperative stance, the Senate has issued an order for the arrest of the erring 30 firms remaining.
