In a gesture aimed at spreading holiday cheer and appreciating the dedication of state workers, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has announced a Christmas bonus of ₦150,000 for every civil servant in the state.

The announcement was made public on Thursday evening through a Facebook post by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Monday Uzor. According to Uzor, the Christmas bonus will be disbursed to all eligible civil servants by 1 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

In his post, Uzor quoted Governor Nwifuru as saying, “Every worker in Ebonyi State service will receive ₦150,000 as a Christmas Bonus before 1 PM on Tuesday.” The Governor emphasized his commitment to ensuring that civil servants enjoy a fulfilling festive season as a token of appreciation for their hard work and contributions to the state’s development throughout the year.

This announcement has been met with widespread jubilation among state employees, who see it as a significant boost during the holiday season. Many have lauded Governor Nwifuru’s administration for prioritizing the welfare of workers, especially in challenging economic times.

The Christmas bonus initiative underscores Governor Nwifuru’s dedication to fostering a motivated and productive workforce while promoting the overall well-being of Ebonyi State residents. This move aligns with his administration’s broader vision of inclusive governance and impactful leadership.

As the countdown to Christmas begins, this gesture of goodwill from the Ebonyi State Government is expected to enhance the festive spirit and contribute to a more vibrant holiday celebration across the state.
