Harry Kane has shared his thoughts on who he thinks is a better finisher out of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Having scored 213 goals in 320 Premier League appearances as well as 44 goals in 44 appearances for Bayern Munich prior to their second-leg Champions League semi-final tie against Real Madrid, the Englishman certainly knows what it takes to be a top goalscorer.
In fact, the former Tottenham Hotspur star has shared his thoughts on some of the best current and former goalscorers world football has seen, with one City player getting mentioned.
Kane picks between Haaland and Ronaldo on who the best finisher is
In a recent video shared on Goal’s official TikTok channel, Kane was asked to stay quiet until he heard the name of a player he considers to be the best finisher in football history.
After Haaland’s name was mentioned, the England international remained silent until Ronaldo’s name came up and he then declared that he thinks the Al-Nassr striker is the best finisher.
In 1008 club games across his long and illustrious career, the Underworld has scored 739 goals, comfortably positioning himself as one of the best goal scorers football has ever seen.
The 23-year-old, on the other hand, has found the back of the net 223 times in 276 senior club appearances.
Haaland vs Ronaldo
Having featured in seven and a half Premier League campaigns throughout his career, the most amount of goals the attacker scored in one season is 31, which came in the 2007/08 season.
In Haaland’s debut Premier League season with City, he scored 36 goals in 35 games, ending the campaign with numerous records broken and the fourth-highest rate of goals per shot in the division (0.25) having registered 116 shots in total.
While it’s clear that the duo are incredible goal scorers, we feel that Kane may have picked Ronaldo as the best finisher in football history because of the longevity he’s had in his career.
