IFELODUN LCDA RESIDENTS COMMENDS OKEOWO FOR EMBARKING ON MASSIVE IMPACTFUL PROJECTS AMID CURRENT ECONOMIC HARDSHIP

The residents of Ifelodun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) yesterday, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Council Chairman, Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, for his unwavering commitment to the community through the initiation of several impactful projects despite the ongoing economic challenges.

In a time marked by financial strain on families and businesses alike, the Ifelodun LCDA is witnessing transformative developments that demonstrate the Chairman’s dedication to improving the quality of life for all residents. Key projects commissioned, flag-off, and presentation made yesterday include infrastructure development and new healthcare facilities.

“These projects are a testament to the Chairman’s leadership and vision for our community,” said Hon. Tunde Omojuwa, a long-time resident of Ogungbe Street and Party leader. “While many areas face budget cuts and declining public services, Ifelodun is thriving under his stewardship. We are grateful that he prioritizes our needs and works tirelessly to ensure that we continue to see progress.”

HIGHLIGHTS OF YESTERDAY’S ACHIEVEMENTS:

– Foundation Laying: Mayor Okeowo has laid the foundation for the Executive Building inside the Council Secretariatand Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Seteolu Community, Round About, marking the beginning of new infrastructure development.

– Flag-Off Of Road Construction: Mayor Okeowo has also flagged off the construction of 6 roads in the listed streets:

– Ladega
– Fijabi link Iyatuwo
– Ofure
– Ogungbe
– Olokodana
– Igbaja

– Commissioning of Water Systems: 14 water systems have been commissioned, improving access to clean water for the community at the following locations:

-Okoya Street
-Jimoh Ojora Primary school
-Oyedeji
-Abeje
-Mosafejo close
-Apasa Mosefejo road
-Akindele street
-Aro Lane
-Igbaja
-Ofure
-Ifelodun street
-Yusuf Esan
-Owodunni street
-Coker street

– Presentation of Utility Vehicles: Mayor Okeowo has presented utility vehicles to:
– Council Staff ( 3 Hummer Buses as Staff Buses)
– Nigerian Army, Signal Barrack
– NIREC (Nigerian Inter-Religious Council)
– CDC (Community Development Committee)
– Market Association
– Chieftaincy Council

Mayor Okeowo’s administration is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents through strategic infrastructure development, improved access to essential services, and support for community organizations.

In addressing the community, the Executive Chairman, Mayor Okeowo stated, “I am honored to serve the people of Ifelodun LCDA. These projects will be completed within six months to the glory of God. We are committed to finding innovative solutions to address the needs of our community, especially during these challenging times. Together, we will build a brighter future for all.”

The Council Chairman’s proactive approach to governance in the face of adversity has resonated with residents who feel hopeful and optimistic about their community’s trajectory.
