The Ikeja Local Government, under the leadership of its Executive Chairman, Engr. Dr. Mojeed Alabi Balogun, has commenced its annual budget retreat, focusing on preparations for the 2025 fiscal year.
The retreat, a significant event on the local government’s calendar, brought together key stakeholders and unit heads to discuss the proposed revenue and expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year.
In her opening address, the Council Manager, Mrs. Odubeko Jullianah Taiwo, welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of addressing budget-related challenges to ensure a seamless implementation process. She expressed gratitude to the executive and management teams for their cooperation, which contributed to the achievements of the outgoing year. Mrs. Taiwo also called on revenue-generating units to intensify efforts in the coming year to support the council’s goals.
Executive Chairman Engr. Balogun, in his remarks, commended the stakeholders for their dedication over the past seven years. “Today, we are gathered here to celebrate ourselves for a job well done. As a team, I urge us to consolidate our progress to deliver on the ongoing projects. I need the support of each and every one of you to achieve this,” he stated.
The budget retreat was attended by governing stakeholders of Ikeja Local Government, reaffirming their commitment to effective planning and governance as they prepare for 2025.
