The Department of State Services (DSS) is set to arraign former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, on Wednesday, February 25, over allegations bordering on cybercrime and breach of national security.

According to sources within the security establishment, the former governor will be brought before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Abuja, to answer to charges filed against him by the security agency.
Details of the charges are yet to be made public as of the time of filing this report. However, the development signals a significant legal and political turn involving the high-profile former governor, who served Kaduna State from 2015 to 2023 and remains an influential voice in national discourse.
Legal analysts suggest that the arraignment could generate wide public interest given El-Rufai’s prominence in Nigeria’s political landscape. It is expected that his legal team will respond formally once the charges are read in court.
The case is likely to attract national attention as proceedings unfold at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
