Lagos State Government will commence the sale of its LAKE Rice from Thursday, 24 August 2017 ahead of Eid-El-Kabir season which is just around the corner.
The Commissioner for Agriculture in Lagos State, Oluwatoyin Suarau said the rice would be sold at various centres across the state.
The Commissioner said the administration of Governor Ambode is committed to fostering agricultural policies and programmes that would ensure that food was widely available in Lagos state.
He said the LAKE Rice would be available for sale to all Lagosians without any form of discrimation on religion or tribe.
The state had also fixed a set price for the sale of the rice.
The prices are as follows:
50Kg bag would cost N12,000
25Kg bag would cost N 6,000
10Kg bag would cost N 2,500
The LAKE Rice would be available for sale at all the 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Areas; the Agricultural Development Area Complex Oko-Oba, Agege; LTV Blue Roof Complex, Agidingbi, Ikeja, and other designated centers across the state.
