MINISTERIAL APPOINTMENTS: A CALL TO SERVICE

The Committee of Diaspora Chairmen of APC under the able leadership of Professor Adesegun Labinjo wishes to congratulate all the Federal Ministers that were sworn in by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu a couple of days ago.

It is a rare honour and privilege for anyone to be found worthy to be part of a 45-man ministerial appointees in a country of about 200 million people. Our beloved country Nigeria is at the cusp of something extraordinary under the leadership of PBAT and you are his anchormen and women to bringing that lifelong dream of his to fruition for all Nigerians.

APC CDC is therefore reminding the new Ministers that this is a call to Service and nothing else. For too long, our country has been stunted in her growth and capacity, not by lack of resources or due to environmental challenges, but she has been perennially slowed down by those who have been privileged to be in charge of her destiny.

Ours is a country with limitless potential to be among the best in the world, but instead of being nurtured, she has been exploited and pillaged to no end. Fortunately, and because of her resilience, she’s still standing, but barely.

That is why the President has taken his time to scout the length and breadth of the country seeking men and women who would drive and deliver his Renewed Hope Agenda to the doorstep of every Nigerian. He has been so meticulous, innovative, and intentional in this process, streamlining some of the ministries by splitting them up while creating even new ones along the line.

All this to make the jobs of his Ministers more manageable and appropriately defined. That way there would be no excuses for those who fall below expectations. As Nigerians in the diaspora, we are fervent in our commitment and patriotism towards our dear country and wish to make it clear that we are also committed to adding our experience and expertise to making our President’s trans-formative vision a reality for all Nigerians.

It is therefore important to remind our Ministers that there are resourceful Nigerians within and outside the country as they embark on the search for those who will help them succeed in their various ministries. We have so much value to add to the process.

Once again, congratulations to all the new Ministers. May your tenure be remmbered as a period of revival, self-discovery, and limitless growth for our dear country, Nigeria.

– Omololu Nick Apata, Publicity Secretary, APC CDC & Chairman APC Canada Chapter.
