Niger State Governor Gifts Corp Members ₦200,000 Each, To Invest ₦5 Billion In Orientation Camp Construction.

In a significant move to enhance the infrastructure for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger State has announced a substantial investment of N5 billion towards the construction of a permanent orientation camp for the corps members in the state.

Governor Bago made this announcement during a recent event, underscoring his administration’s commitment to improving the living and training conditions for the NYSC members. The proposed state-of-the-art facility is expected to provide a conducive environment for orientation activities, thus fostering better integration and productivity among the youth corps members.

In a gesture of goodwill, Governor Bago also revealed that each corps member in Batch B Stream I posted to Niger State will receive a “bonus” of N200,000 to ensure their comfort during their service year. This financial support is intended to help ease their transition and settle in more comfortably.

Additionally, the governor announced the provision of 20 cows and a trailer load of rice to further support the corps members. This initiative aims to enhance their nutrition and overall well-being, reflecting the state government’s holistic approach to their welfare.

Governor Bago’s announcements highlight his administration’s dedication to youth development and the NYSC scheme, reinforcing Niger State’s commitment to supporting and empowering the young individuals who are contributing to the nation’s growth through their service.
