In a strategic move aimed at strengthening its leadership structure and driving operational excellence, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced the appointment of a new eight-member Senior Management Team. The announcement, made on Friday, follows the recent appointment of the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and the reconstitution of the Board of Directors.
The newly appointed Senior Management Team will be led by the GCEO, Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, and is expected to play a pivotal role in the ongoing transformation of NNPC Ltd. into a fully commercial and competitive energy company.
According to the official statement released by the company, Rowland Ewubare has been appointed as the Group Chief Operating Officer, bringing with him years of industry experience and operational expertise. Adedapo Segun will serve as the Group Chief Financial Officer, while Olalekan Ogunleye has been named Executive Vice President, Gas, Power & New Energy, a critical portfolio that aligns with the company’s future-forward energy transition goals.
Other key appointments include Udy Ntia as Executive Vice President, Upstream; Mumuni Dangazau as Executive Vice President, Downstream; Sophia Mbakwe as Executive Vice President, Business Services; and Adesua Dozie who will serve as the Company Secretary and Chief Legal Officer.
All appointments take immediate effect.
