Notorious Kidnapper Arrested By SARS

An allegedly notorious kidnapper and armed robber Nzube Anagwu has been arrested in Owerri.

Nzube Anagwu, otherwise popularly known as Italian is a member of the late kidnapping Kingpin Johnson Igwedibia’s (a.k.a Don Wanny ) gang. Since, Don Wanny was shot dead in 2018 by security agents, the police have been on the trail of his other deadly gang members.

According to the police “SARS arrested one of the most notorious serial killers in recent time, Nzube Francis Anagwu, aka Italian, 35. He was the second-in-command to the late Johnson Igwedibia, aka Don Wanny, from Omoku in Rivers State.

“Anagwu made life unbearable for inhabitants of Rivers, Imo and Bayelsa states. As we speak, victims and relatives are coming to identify him at the station after the news broke about his arrest.

“During his arrest, he sustained gunshot injury on his left leg and multiple bruises on his face.”

Italian on sighting the police at the Control Post roundabout in Owerri opened fire on them, however he was eventually arrested after being outgunned by the superior fire power of the SARS team and sustained serious injuries during the encounter.
