OJODU LCDA CHAIRMAN SUBSIDIZES FOOD ITEMS AS PALLIATIVES FOR RESIDENTS

The administration of Hon Segun Odunmbaku in Ojodu LCDA celebrated it’s “Two Years In Office” Programme with a Subsidy Removal Palliatives Initiative at the council secretariat, Oke-Ira Ogba.

Organized to provide foodstuffs at subsidized price of 1000 Naira for any food item picked at the event, many residents trooped out to celebrate the administration’s Two Years In Office event and partake in the bountiful bazaar of food palliatives on display in the various exhibition stands in the council hall.

The Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon Segun Odunmbaku in his speech at the milestone celebration gave account of stewardship since the two years he came to office and cited the various developmental strides recorded by administration and his commitment to implementing programmes and initiatives aimed at improving lives of Ojodu residents.

He further spoke about sustainable developments achieve through his H.E.Y.S Agenda (Health, Education, Youth and Women Development, Social And Infrastructural Development) like upgrading of Primary Health Centers, employment of medical personnel and procurement of ambulances, Provision of Free GCE, Jambs Forms and Empowering Teachers to reward performance, Capacity Building and Empowerment Programmes for youths and Women in skills acquisition, Provision of vehicles to Security formations and Infrastructural renewal across Ojodu and environs by rehabilitating roads, desilting canals and drainages while providing modern facilities in public places.

The Mayor highlighted the various partnership and collaborations with private institutions and non governmental organizations to provide Free Medical Missions for residents with Rotary Club,Water and Sanitation facilities for schools markets and health centers with PEPSICO, vocational training for youths with KENNOL and others that have continued to foster socioeconomic development of Ojodu LCDA.

Delighted residents were full of joy and praises as they bought various foodstuffs at the subsidized price and commended the Mayor for his interventions to ease conditions of the people through the Free Buses and Subsidized Foodstuffs initiative that are improving the welfare of the people in Ojodu LCDA
