OLASUMBO FASEESIN IS NOT OUR MEMBER – APC UK

Our attention has been drawn to an unintelligent petition addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and titled WHY GBAJABIAMILA’S APPOINTMENT AS CoS MUST BE REVIEWED FOR LACK OF ADMINISTRATIVE COMPETENCE.

The asinine and fatuous petition was signed by one Barrister Olasumbo Faseesin, who claims to be a member of the ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS UNITED KINGDOM CHAPTER (APC UK).

We have carried out a detailed internal due diligence exercise and can confirm that the confused and clout-chasing Olasumbo Faseesin is not a registered member of the APC in the United Kingdom and does not represent the party in any way, shape or form.

Our investigation has also confirmed that he ran and lost the election for House of Assembly Member representing Constituency 2, Akoko South West LGA in Ondo State. The latest antics may be attributed to his failure to clinch the seat and subsequent post-election trauma.

The elected APC UK executive team and members worked tirelessly to ensure the success of President Bola Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR at the polls and have no reason to question his decision, especially with the appointment of an experienced personality like Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila CFR.

As a matter of fact, just a few days ago, our amiable Chairman, J K Adebola, had spoken glowingly of the Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila CFR. In his press release, J K Adebola described the CoS as a valuable asset to President Tinubu and the Nigerian people and a strong advocate for democracy and good governance who has worked tirelessly to promote transparency and accountability in government and contended that Hon. Femi Gabajabiamila is a champion of the poor and the marginalised.

We want to equivocally state that APC UK has nothing to do with this misguided individual whom we observed had once contested under the umbrella of the party. We call on the Ondo State APC party executives to investigate their member and sanction him according to the provisions of the party’s constitution when found guilty of a reckless and baseless attack on the person of the Chief of Staff to the President.

Finally, we respect Barrister Faseesin’s right as a Nigerian, but affiliating himself with APC UK is unnecessary, and we wish him a speedy recovery from his post-election trauma and voyage of calumny.

– J S Ogunseye, Publicity Secretary, APC United Kingdom.
