Prince Ade Omole, the Director of the defunct APC PCC Diaspora Directorate yesterday, April 29th 2023, paid a courtesy visit to the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his private residence in Asokoro, FCT Abuja following his return to the country after vacationing in France.
It would be recalled that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had travelled to the European country in late March after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him the winner of the presidential election conducted on February 25.
Welcoming his guest, Asiwaju Tinubu thanked Prince Omole for the incredible work put together by the Diaspora Directorate under his leadership during the campaigns calling him the ‘Face of Diaspora’.
The President-Elect appreciated the enormous support and contributions of the Diaspora to the campaign; the day and night trips which energised the support base and in particular for putting together what’s now known in the history of Nigeria as the first and only outdoor campaign which held in the Republic of Benin main stadium and had in attendance progressives with PVCs from 6 West African countries.
Much hasn’t been said of the enormous contributions in terms of mobilisation and donations made by Nigerians across the globe which was made possible by the Omole-led accountable and transparent Diaspora Directorate, supervised by the Presidential Campaign Council leadership.
The purpose of the visit was to welcome back to Nigeria and congratulate Asiwaju Tinubu on what has been achieved so far and to inform him of the backing and strong support by majority of Nigerians, home and abroad, in his plans for the transformation of the country.
Subsequently, Prince Omole with the former governor of Edo State, H.E Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomole saw the President-Elect to the Abuja International Airport where they both wished him farewell as he made his way to Lagos.
