Lagos SUBEB Board Member, quality education advocate and public affairs commentator, Owolabi Falana, has paid a congratulatory visit to the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Hajiya Aisha Garba, and the Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical), Mr. Olajuwon Akinyemi.

During the courtesy visit, Falana conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and expressed strong support for the new leadership, describing their appointments as timely and pivotal for the future of foundational education in Nigeria.

“I have absolute confidence in their wealth of experience, vision, and dedication to improving foundational education across the nation,” Falana stated.

He commended the federal government for entrusting the commission to individuals with a proven track record in educational development, adding that their emergence at this critical period signifies a renewed commitment to repositioning the basic education sector for greater national impact.

“Their appointments come at a crucial time and reflect a strong commitment to repositioning the basic education sector for greater impact,” he said.

Falana further expressed optimism that their combined expertise will significantly influence educational transformation, particularly in Lagos and other key states.

“With their combined expertise and passion for educational development, I am optimistic that Lagos will witness significant strides in quality, access, and innovation in the delivery of basic education.”

He concluded by noting that their leadership would be instrumental in shaping a brighter future for children and laying a stronger foundation for sustainable development in Nigeria.
