Suspected ritual killer, Ifeanyi Dike who fled police custody after his initial arrest has been re-arrested in Jos
The Plateu state, Commissioner of Police Zaki Ahmed said the suspect was nabbed in Jos by men of Special Anti-Robbery Squad sometime in the early hours of yesterday, Friday, September 8th, 2017.
According to reports, he had broken into someone’s home and stabbed the occupant while trying to commit a robbery.
Ifeanyi Dike, a 200-level student of the University of Port-Harcourt had on August 21, 2017, fled from police custody after been apprehended for an alleged ritual killing of an eight year old girl in Rivers state.
The father of the murdered girl indicated that Ifeanyi Dike was actually his cousin and had lured his daughter and killed her.
Ifeanyi had allegedly killed the girl and removed several parts of her body for ritual purposes.
Since his disappearance on August 21, 2017, a massive police search had been ongoing for him before his current re-arrest in the early hours of yesterday.
