The President of the Nigeria Catchball Federation, Engr. Bola Babarinde, paid an official visit to Mushin Catchball Club in Lagos State on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

During the visit, the Federation President conducted a tour of the club’s current training facilities and observed the conditions under which the athletes train. He noted the absence of basic training materials essential for effective practice and development of the sport at the grassroots level.

In response, Engr. Babarinde pledged the Federation’s support by committing to provide financial assistance for players’ refreshments during training sessions. He also promised the provision of key training equipment, including twelve (12) training vests, canvases, and a standard catchball net with movable poles, to enhance the club’s training capacity.

The visit underscores the Nigeria Catchball Federation’s commitment to grassroots development and its resolve to support local clubs across the country in building a strong foundation for the growth of catchball in Nigeria.
