In a significant move aimed at strengthening the leadership of Family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Ademola Adebise, the former managing director of Wema Bank, as the new chairman of the board.
Ademola Adebise, an alumnus of the University of Lagos, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. At 57 years old, Adebise’s appointment is seen as a strategic decision to enhance the operational and strategic capabilities of FHFL.
Joining Adebise on the board is Abdul Muttalab, who will serve as the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director, a role critical to driving the company’s vision and mission. The board’s financial oversight will be strengthened by Abdullahi Musa, appointed as Executive Director (Finance), while operational efficiency will be the focus for Emeka Henry Inegbu, who assumes the role of Executive Director (Operations).
The board will also benefit from the inclusion of representatives from the Ministry of Finance Incorporated and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), who will serve as non-executive directors, providing crucial insights and governance oversight.
Rounding out the board are four non-executive directors: Sam Okagbue, Musa Ahmed, Eniang Nkang, and Bilkisu Usman. Their diverse backgrounds and expertise are expected to contribute significantly to the strategic direction and governance of FHFL.
Established in 2018, Family Homes Funds Limited is a social housing initiative promoted by the Federal Government of Nigeria as part of its Social Intervention Programme. The organization focuses on providing affordable housing solutions for low-income Nigerians. With initial shareholding by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), FHFL aims to address the housing deficit and improve living conditions for millions of Nigerians.
This new leadership structure is poised to drive FHFL’s mission forward, ensuring that more low-income families across Nigeria have access to affordable, quality housing.
