President Tinubu Appoint Odebunmi, Ayobami Oyalowo, Julius Oloro Into Executive Management Of Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority

In a move to strengthen the operational efficiency of River Basin Development Authorities across Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of the executive management team for the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA). The appointments are part of the administration’s commitment to enhancing sustainable agricultural development, water resource management, and infrastructural advancements in the region.

The Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, headquartered in Abeokuta, oversees Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, and Osun states. The newly constituted executive team brings together seasoned professionals from diverse fields, reflecting a balanced representation of the states under the authority’s jurisdiction.

The appointments are as follows:

1. Hon. Odebunmi Olusegun (Oyo) – Chairman
A distinguished public servant, Hon. Odebunmi brings extensive experience in governance and administration to his new role. He is expected to provide strategic leadership and ensure that the authority aligns with the government’s vision for regional development.

2. Engr. Dr. Adedeji Ashiru (Osun) – Managing Director
A highly accomplished engineer and technocrat, Dr. Ashiru has a proven track record in water resources management and development. His expertise will be pivotal in driving the authority’s core mandate.

3. Ayo Oyalowo (Oyo) – Executive Director, Finance
Renowned for his financial acumen, Oyalowo will oversee the authority’s financial operations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and optimal resource allocation.

4. Dokunmu Olufemi Oyekunle (Ogun) – Executive Director, Planning and Design
With vast experience in project planning and design, Oyekunle will lead the formulation and execution of innovative developmental projects to benefit the region.

5. Suleiman Oris (Lagos) – Executive Director, Agricultural Services
A specialist in agricultural policy and implementation, Oris will focus on boosting agricultural productivity and supporting farmers through sustainable practices and resource allocation.

6. Engr. Julius Oloro (Lagos) – Executive Director, Engineering
An expert in engineering and infrastructure, Engr. Oloro will spearhead the authority’s engineering projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and meet international standards.

 

This new management team is tasked with revitalizing the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority to meet the growing demands for water, agriculture, and infrastructural development in the region. Their roles will include implementing innovative solutions to combat climate change, enhance food security, and improve the quality of life for residents in the states under their purview.

The appointments reflect President Tinubu’s commitment to driving excellence in governance by entrusting key positions to individuals with proven capabilities, as Nigeria continues its journey toward sustainable development.
