The visit underscores the Federal Government’s continued commitment to infrastructural development, reconstruction and socio-economic recovery in the North-East region..
While in Maiduguri, President Tinubu will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Borno, the President will proceed to Bauchi State, where he will pay a condolence visit to the Bauchi State Government and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the renowned Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27. The visit is to honour the cleric’s enduring religious and scholarly contributions to Islam in Nigeria and beyond.
Following the condolence visit, President Tinubu will travel to Lagos State, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays. During his stay, he is expected to attend several engagements, including serving as the Guest of Honour at the historic Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27 at Tafawa Balewa Square.
