President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation today in a special broadcast to discuss the escalating situation in Rivers State. The nationwide broadcast, which will be transmitted at 7:00 pm, is expected to provide crucial updates on the government’s response to the crisis.

Sources within the Presidency indicate that President Tinubu may announce the declaration of a State of Emergency in Rivers State, following rising concerns over security and public order in the region. This move would aim to restore peace and stability while addressing the challenges currently facing the state.

The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) will transmit the broadcast live. All television and radio stations across the country have been directed to link up with the national broadcast to ensure wide dissemination of the President’s message.

The public is encouraged to tune in to hear directly from the President as he outlines the government’s position and proposed measures to tackle the unfolding situation.
