Remo Stars Football Club, a privately owned professional side based in Ikenne, Ogun State, have been crowned champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for the 2024/2025 season.
In a historic achievement, Remo Stars became the first privately owned club to clinch the NPFL title since Julius Berger’s triumph in 2000. Owned by businessman and sports enthusiast Kunle Soname, the club’s victory marks a significant milestone for private ownership in Nigerian football.
With their league success, Remo Stars have earned the right to represent Nigeria in next season’s CAF Champions League, bringing pride to their fans and boosting the profile of the club on the continental stage.
