Sanwo-Olu put campaigns on hold & declares 3 days mourning over train accident.

Lagos state governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu suspends his re-election campaigns regarding a train accident that claimed the lives of six passengers. March 9, 2023, the tragic incident occurred when a train collided with a state government staff BRT bus while the bus was trying to crossing the rail track to link Ikeja GRA.

According to reports siix people have been confirmed dead, and several others sustained serious injuries. Considering this issue as a sympathetic one, the governor has also directed the heads of service to declare a half-day work on Friday, March 10, 2023, and has declared three days of mourning. During this period, officials of the state will visit the families of the deceased and offer their condolences to mark respect.
