As the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State prepares for its forthcoming Local Government primaries, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has reiterated the party’s commitment to a peaceful and transparent electoral process. The Governor made this known during a strategic visit to the APC state secretariat located at Acme Road, Ogba, where he interfaced directly with party leaders and stakeholders.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of aligning the primaries with the guidelines provided by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC). He noted that his visit was aimed at reinforcing unity and demonstrating leadership support for the groundwork being done ahead of the elections.

“As we gear up for the APC Local Government primaries in Lagos, I visited our party’s secretariat at Acme, Ogba. It was important for me to connect with our leaders and members directly, to reaffirm our shared commitment to a process that is peaceful, transparent, and fully aligned with the guidelines set by LASIEC,” he said.

The Governor expressed confidence in the strength and legacy of the APC in Lagos, describing the party as a symbol of progress and responsible leadership. He noted that with sustained unity and dedication, the APC is well-positioned to secure another resounding victory in the upcoming council polls.

“Our party has a strong legacy of progress and responsible leadership, and I have no doubt that we are poised for another resounding victory in the upcoming council elections,” Sanwo-Olu declared.

He also commended the efforts of the APC Electoral Committee and the party’s executive members for their dedication and hard work in preparing for the primaries.

“I’m also deeply appreciative of the work done so far by the APC Electoral Committee and our party executives in preparing for this exercise. Together, we can uphold the trust our people have placed in us and continue to lead with purpose and integrity,” he added.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s visit yesterday came at a crucial moment, as the APC intensifies preparations for grassroots participation in governance through credible and democratic local government elections.
