Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, today officially swore in Otunba Oladipupo Oluwaloni as the new Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), reinforcing the government’s commitment to grassroots development and effective governance at the local level.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Lagos State Government House, was attended by key government officials, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders. In his address, Governor Sanwo-Olu charged the newly inaugurated chairman to prioritize the needs of the people and foster active engagement with residents.
“As a leader, your primary responsibility is to serve the people,” the Governor stated. “Listen to them, work closely with them, and ensure that their voices are heard in decision-making processes. Together, through unity and collective efforts, we can achieve our vision for a greater Lagos.”
Governor Sanwo-Olu reiterated his administration’s unwavering support for local governments, emphasizing that effective governance at the grassroots level is critical to the overall development of Lagos State. He urged Oluwaloni to align his administration with the THEMES Plus agenda, ensuring that Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA contributes significantly to the state’s infrastructural, economic, and social growth.
In his acceptance speech, Otunba Oluwaloni expressed gratitude to the Governor and pledged to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and community-driven leadership. He assured residents of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA that his administration would focus on infrastructural development, security, and social welfare to enhance their quality of life.
The event marked another step in the Sanwo-Olu administration’s efforts to strengthen grassroots governance, ensuring that every LCDA plays a pivotal role in achieving the Greater Lagos vision.
