Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin as the Managing Director of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority.
This was stated in an internal memo addressed to staff of the agency signed by T. A. Dosunmu.
The internal memo asked all staff of the agency to accord Gbadegesin the “usual cooperation.”
The internal memo read, “I wish to refer to the above subject matter and to convey the appointment of Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) by Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, The Governor of Lagos State with effect from 13th July, 2023
“The Management and members of staff are to accord him our usual cooperation.”
Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin’s appointment comes after the sack of former Managing Director, Mr Ibrahim Odumboni by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu.
The new helmsman who had earlier resigned as MD/CEO of LAWMA in August 19, 2020 for personal reasons is now back on the saddle in a surprising comeback.
